Membership Terms & Community Rules

FrugalLove is a paid, identity-verified membership community for adults who want to meet someone with similar values around money, faith and frugality, with the intention of a long-term relationship. Members pay for access to the community — there are no per-message charges, no credits for contacting other members, no tipping, and no payments between members.

This is not a peruse-images-and-choose-who's-attractive site. It's about connecting with people who share your values and life desires. Photos are gated behind mutual respect and meaningful conversation, not looks-first swiping. FrugalLove contains no adult or sexually explicit content and is not an escort, companionship-for-hire or introduction-for-payment service.

• You must be 18 years or older.
• You must be legally single and honest about your relationship status.
• You must complete government ID verification before you can be matched or exchange private messages.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be sold or shared.

FrugalLove is a startup community. Whether it fully launches, grows, and thrives depends on how many people join. There are no guarantees the platform will reach full launch or sustained operation if we don't hit critical member numbers. Please share FrugalLove with people you think would benefit — the community only works if the right people show up.

All membership fees — lifetime, annual, quarterly, and monthly — are non-refundable. You are supporting the building of a new concept. If the project does not reach viability, fees paid will not be returned. Please only join if you accept this risk. Full details are on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page.

• Annual: Billed as a 12-month commitment. If you cancel, your access continues until your 12-month anniversary, and you remain liable for the full annual amount.
• Quarterly: Billed every 3 months. You can cancel at the end of any 3-month cycle. Priced higher than annual to reflect the shorter commitment.
• Monthly: Billed monthly with a saved card on file via Stripe. Cancel any time — access ends at the end of the current billing month.
• Lifetime (Founders): One-time payment. No recurring billing. Access for the life of the platform.

As a new concept, our rules will evolve. Current core rules:

• ID verification is required before any private messaging or match introduction.
• You must exchange a meaningful number of messages (currently 50 messages over 7+ days) before contact-detail unlock, and both people must agree.
• Community message boards are anonymous by colour — no names, no photos on the boards.
• No harassment, no solicitation, no deception. Removal is at our discretion.
• Rules may be updated as the community grows. Continued use = acceptance of updates.

The following result in immediate removal without refund:

• Posting or sending adult, sexually explicit or violent content.
• Offering or soliciting escort services, companionship for payment, or any sexual service.
• Requesting, sending or soliciting money, gifts, loans, crypto or investments from other members — the most common romance-scam pattern, and grounds for permanent removal.
• Advertising, recruiting or promoting external services to members.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, or impersonating another person.
• Misrepresenting your age, identity or relationship status.

Private messages are subject to moderation review, and any member can report or block another at any time.

Initial memberships are US-based, with plans to launch in additional countries after the US community is established. If you join from outside the US, you accept that features, matching, and events may not be optimised for your region initially.

Payments are processed by Stripe. FrugalLove does not store your card details. For recurring plans, Stripe securely stores your payment method and auto-retries failed charges (Smart Retries). If your payment fails after retries, your membership access may be paused until the balance is settled.

FrugalLove facilitates meaningful connections but cannot guarantee you will find a partner. Compatibility, chemistry, and outcomes depend on you and the people you engage with. Real love always has an in-person chemistry aspect we can't manufacture online.

By purchasing a membership, you confirm you have read and accept these terms, understand fees are non-refundable, and you're joining a new-concept startup community in good faith.
