Built for people who are wary — because we are too.

Just enough to match you well: the questionnaire and quiz answers you choose to give us, your gender (so the boards can show your colour and so we match heterosexually at launch), your verified ID (only before you match or chat), and the messages you send. We don't collect your contacts list, your camera roll, or your browsing history.

Answers live in our database behind row-level security — only you and the matching engine on our server can read them. They are never rendered on any public page, your profile, or your community posts. Search engines and AI scrapers physically cannot see them: all member areas sit behind a login and are marked noindex.

Sensitive fields — debt history, faith details, neurodivergence, income band — are encrypted at rest with a key stored separately from the database. If a database dump were ever stolen, those columns would be gibberish without the key.

On every community board, the only thing other members can see about you is a small coloured square — purple for women and teal for men. No name. No number. No avatar. No join date. No post count. Nothing to perform for, nothing to stalk, no ego ladder to climb.

Your real identity is stored privately on our server so we can moderate, ban, run the match algorithm, and answer your own "why aren't I matching?" question. It never leaves the server.

Every board post can be loved, liked, or marked "don't really like". When you consistently love or like another member's thinking, your private compatibility score with them goes up. When two people both score each other highly, we open a chat — that's blind board matching.

Two dislikes of the same member trigger a 30-day soft block: they're quietly removed from your potential match pool. You can review your soft blocks any time in your account and release individual ones if you change your mind.

Other members never learn the real identity behind a board post. When two matched people unlock contact details after 7 days and 50 messages, neither learns which coloured squares they were on the boards.

All private messages run through an automated safety check for harassment, scam patterns, and contact-info leaks before the chat is unlocked. Clean messages pass through instantly and are never read by a human. Flagged messages land in a moderation queue reviewed by the admin team.

Members can report any post or message with one tap. Every moderator action is logged with who did it and why — accountability protects you.

We operate a kind-first two-strike policy. Strike one: warning. Strike two: suspension. Repeated or serious offences: ban.

Questionnaires never arrive as forms in your inbox. We send a short email that says "your next questionnaire is ready" with a link that takes you to a logged in page on FrugalLove. Your answers are submitted from inside that secure session — never via email, never in a URL.

We use your answers to make matches and to improve the site. That's it. We do not sell them to advertisers. We do not share them with partners. We do not feed them to third-party AI models for training. If we ever change this we will tell you first and give you the chance to leave with your data deleted.

One button in your account settings. We delete your profile, your questionnaire answers, your reactions, your board posts, and your messages. Moderation logs are retained in a redacted form (without your content) for legal protection.
